The Aphelion™ software system is available in various configurations, depending on the customer's requirements, as defined below:
The developer version of Aphelion™ (APH-DEV) lets you create imaging applications to be run from either the Aphelion™ Graphical User Interface (GUI) or from a stand-alone application written in Visual Basic, Visual C++ and other development environments. This version is required for developing an application to be deployed in a third-party system.
This version lets the user perform the following tasks:
The runtime version of Aphelion™ (APH-CORE) is used in an application previously developed using APH-DEV. It includes only the Aphelion™ imaging libraries provided as DLLs or ActiveX components. The Aphelion™ ActiveX components are available as a complete library, or as individual units, as described in the Aphelion™ ActiveX Components section.

A site license is available for most of the Aphelion™ products. The following regulations apply:
A 40% educational discount is available to non-profit organizations. Software products must be used only for research or education. No educational discount can be applied to runtime versions.
Warranty service is free during the first twelve months after delivery. Maintenance includes telephone/fax support, bug fixes, and free upgrades (within the second digit release number). No educational discount available.
